Top organisations driving innovation in their respective ecosystems were unveiled yesterday in Paris during the ninth edition of the Startup Ecosystem Stars (SES) Awards, organised by International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Mind the Bridge. Among the 2024 winners is The Hague, the city for entrepreneurs working on innovations for a better world.
Province of South Holland, Metropolitan Region of Rotterdam The Hague (MRDH), and the municipalities of Delft, The Hague, Leiden, and Rotterdam will work more closely together in the coming years to improve the climate for start-ups and scale-ups. On November 13, they signed a declaration of intent to this end. Joint ambition is to create an implementation programme aimed at developing start-ups and scale-ups in the region by early 2025.
ImpactFest focuses on the combination between ‘doing good’ and ‘doing business’. The annual event in The Hague yesterday attracted 1,500 visitors from 35 countries. Here, not only are solutions our society needs discussed, new collaborations actually emerge and direct investments are made in promising entrepreneurs. Several entrepreneurs went home with a cash prize to take their mission-driven companies a step further.
