Startup in Residence is a new way of connecting the City of The Hague and governments with startups. Besides the ambition to stimulate collaboration, the programme aims to tackle urban challenges that the city faces and develop innovative solutions. The Startup in Residence programme aims to invest in startups with the best innovative ideas to develop their prototypes. The City of The Hague can assist startups to finalize and perfect this solution. If the solutions are successful, the City of The Hague has the option to act as launching customer.
Startup in Residence InterGov is a collaboration between various government organizations that, together with startups, want to increase their impact on social issues. For example, the province of South Holland is working with start-ups to look at the use of residual waste for new products, the municipality of The Hague is helping people on social assistance to find a job with new technologies and the ministries are working on topics such as leased land, energy saving and digitization of SMEs.
The following organizations are currently participating: Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, Province of South Holland and the municipality of The Hague.
The Startup in Residence program offers you the opportunity to collaborate with various governments and test your ideas. During the 5-month program you will receive training and the possibility to book workshops with professional mentors. You also have access to a broad government network, business partners, events and a workspace in the impact startup building Apollo 14.For more information, take a quick look at; https://intergov.startupinresidence.com/
