Tools for Impact – Workshop: How to become B Corp certified

10 June 13:00 - 14:30 | Knowledge

Would you like to have independent recognition that in addition to making a profit, your company also does good for the world? With the B Corp certification you can show that your company contributes to an inclusive and sustainable economy. But how do you obtain such a certificate? We take you through the process with a guest speaker from B Corp.

The B Corp certification is an international certification for profit-driven companies that have a major, positive impact on people and the environment. These companies – small and large – have given sustainability a permanent place in their DNA and know how to create value in several ways.

Worldwide there are over 4,000 B Corps and the number is increasing rapidly. The Netherlands is well represented with well-known names such as Tony’s Chocolonely, Auping, and Dopper. B Corps are also established in The Hague, such as Naïf, Seepje, Wholy Greens, Secrid and Space4Good. The certification provides numerous benefits. Consumers and (young) talent, for example, attach increasing importance to sustainability, but at the same time are also skeptical about green washing.

By the way, you don’t just get the certification. Saskia Rotshuizen, Growth and Certification Manager Benelux at B Corp, explains during this workshop how the process works and how you can obtain a B Corp certification.

This workshop was designed specifically for participants of the ImpactCity Accelerator, but is also accessible to other entrepreneurs interested in the matter.
