The Hague winner World Smart City Award 2021.

What an international experience!

LivingLab Scheveningen is the winner of the international World Smart City Award. This award is given annually to cities that make the world a more liveable and sustainable place. This year, The Hague was in the finals with New York and Konya (Turkey) in the energy and environment category. The Award was presented last Wednesday during the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona. Which is attended by some 700 cities from countries all over the world.
The Hague as a ‘smart city’

The Hague is well positioned internationally as a ‘smart city’. This is evident as The Hague ranks 23rd this year in the global Smart City ranking of educational institute IMD, just below London. You can read the report with the analyses per city here.
