Give your startup a first financial impuls

Seed funding

The second phase in funding the growth of your company is called Seed Funding. This is done by “seed” or “angel” or “early stage” investors. These are usually the earliest investors in a business. You have come to the point where pitches, business models and fund-applications have to be rock-solid. These venture capital firms mostly invest in startups with high growth potential.

Seed funding platforms

There are also some interesting Seed funding platforms. Both Get Funded and Uniiq have a more complex fund-application. They don’t ask for a stake in your company in return.

Get Funded is your gateway to the European Horizon 2020 SME Instrument program. Competition is fierce and therefore writing an excellent proposal is crucial. Together with VanPaz and RVO you’ll be assisted by top notch advisors that will help you in this process.

Uniiq is a €22 million fund focused on the proof-of-concept phase for companies based in the province of South Holland, it is a collaboration with knowledge institutions and incubators.

Via the seed capital fund of the Dutch Government each technostarter can receive funding between € 50.000 and € 500.000.

Overview of Seed Funds

There are many Seed Capital Funds. All with a different field of investment-focus like healthcare, impact, ICT or transport.

Angel investors

You could simply have a well-developed business plan, beta test or a great proof of concept. With a thorough proposal and a convincing elevator pitch in which the market potential is clear, you will have a good chance to secure venture capital from an angel or early-stage investor.
