ImpactCity and Rabobank extend partnership until 2026

Rabobank and ImpactCity have been partnering for six years to support impact entrepreneurs in The Hague. With a new agreement, they are extending their collaboration until the end of 2026, continuing to assist entrepreneurs who aim to make the world a better place through their businesses. Their shared goal is to make The Hague and its region an even better location for establishing and growing impact-driven organisations.

Doing good and doing business

Saskia Bruines, Alderman for Economic Development, expresses her enthusiasm about the partnership: “Rabobank shares our motto ‘doing good and doing business’ and demonstrates that entrepreneurship and making an impact can go hand in hand. We highly value our long-standing collaboration with Rabobank and appreciate their commitment to fostering impact entrepreneurship in the city and beyond. We look forward to working with them again in the coming years.”

An impressive ecosystem

Harry Wientjens, Director at Rabobank, adds: “We collaborate with customers and partners in the The Hague region to stimulate sustainable business growth. Our partnership with ImpactCity provides access to an impressive ecosystem of startups and scale-ups, where knowledge and networks come together to accelerate the energy and food transitions, among other initiatives. Rabobank is proud to be part of this and to promote innovation alongside entrepreneurs and stakeholders.”

Knowledge, network & capital

Rabobank plays a crucial role in various ImpactCity programmes. The bank is a partner of ImpactCity’s annual event, ImpactFest, where the entire impact network gathers to establish new connections. Rabobank actively links entrepreneurs and contributes to sharing financial expertise. Additionally, a Rabobank representative is part of the selection committee and jury for the The Hague Innovators Challenge. The bank also supports local impact startups through initiatives such as the Rabo Impact Fund for innovations and serves as a valuable discussion and sparring partner for ImpactCity.

Regional collaboration

Alderman Bruines continues: “Our ambitions for an attractive impact ecosystem extend beyond the city limits. Together with Rabobank, we are working towards stronger regional cooperation. By joining forces with other municipalities and the province, we can better support entrepreneurs in scaling up their businesses.”
