A directory of The Hague’s Impact Entrepreneurs and Investors

The Hague is home to hundreds of entrepreneurs actively working towards the Sustainable Development Goals. To highlight this thriving impact economy, ImpactCity is launching an updated directory of all impact-driven companies and investors active in our city.

The new overview provides the most up-to-date and comprehensive picture possible of The Hague’s impact ecosystem. From climate technology to social innovation, from startups just getting started to established scale-ups: all companies based in The Hague that are contributing to a better world can be found here.

Why this directory?

The overview serves multiple purposes. For impact entrepreneurs, it is a way to raise their profile among investors, policymakers, other entrepreneurs, and potential partners. For impact investors, it provides a handy overview of companies in The Hague that are working on specific SDGs or are active in certain sectors.

In addition, the overview shows that The Hague is a true “impact city.” With more than 200 companies actively contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, our city boasts a strong and diverse ecosystem of entrepreneurs who put “doing good and doing business” into practice. Last year, The Hague was also awarded the EU mission label “100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030.”

Up to date information via Dealroom

Unlike before, the overview is now updated automatically. ImpactCity retrieves the data directly from Dealroom: a global database containing information on thousands of startups and scale-ups.

ImpactCity created the Dealroom Impact & Innovation database in 2020 in collaboration with Dealroom, Danske Bank, and Tech Nation to monitor the development of the global impact ecosystem. The database collects information on thousands of impact startups and scale-ups, defined as companies that focus on one or more of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the core of their activities and have the potential to scale up. The database makes impact startups and scale-ups visible to impact investors, companies, and knowledge institutions.
