What are the implications of the Summit for the Community of The Hague?
As NATO leaders gather in The International City of Peace and Justice, we call for a balanced vision of peace and security, one that place people at its heart. At the opening of the Just Peace Festival, we launched a public statement calling for a more balanced and inclusive vision of peace and security. This is a call to action for leaders, communities, and all who believe in a just future. One that asks: Is defence enough? Or do we also need courage, justice, dialogue, and imagination?
The Hague Humanity Hub, in collaboration with The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (HCSS) and the T.M.C. Asser Instituut, invite you to join an expert panel to analyse the Summit’s key discussions and pivotal decisions and their impact to The Community of The Hague, and beyond.
Our speakers will provide insights on critical themes, including but not limited, to support for Ukraine, the strengthening of European defense capabilities, transatlantic relations, and NATO’s strategic adaptation to new and emerging threats.
This event offers a unique opportunity for professionals, academics, students, and the interested public to join a session assessing the the impact of these discussions and decisions and gain in a deeper understanding of the forces shaping international peace and security.
The session will feature an interactive Q&A, allowing attendees to pose their questions to the panelists. Following the formal program, attendees are welcome to stay for further informal networking.
